Michael D. Homans has spent the last two decades practicing civil rights and employment law at the best law firms in the Philadelphia area before starting his own firm in 2018. His practice concentrates on employment disputes and pre-litigation advice for employers and employees. His clients include a wide range of companies, nonprofits, independent schools, and individuals throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He typically handles wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, family and medical leave, breach of contract, whistleblowing, non-compete agreements, and wage payment and overtime cases. He also drafts and reviews policies, contacts, employee handbooks and severance agreements.
Homans has published articles on employment law and presents on sexual harassment and other employment issues at seminars to institutional clients, businesses and legal organizations. Homans organizes and presents a yearly seminar for the Employment Law Institute, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, on discrimination litigation, wage and hour laws, and wrongful termination.
Homas was a journalist in Savannah, Georgia and Seattle, Washington before becoming a lawyer.
