Raymond Williams is a seasoned litigator in jury trials focusing on matters involving the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
As Co-chair of his firm's Product Liability and Mass Torts Practice, he has defended corporations in matters of wrongful death, blindness, cancer, and other claims in state and federal courts. His litigation includes multi-district litigation, mass tort, class actions and damage claims.
Williams is a frequent speaker on product liability, including as a steering committee member for the Defense Research Council (DRI) Drug and Medical Device section. His writing also appears in the DRI magazine, "Rx For the Defense" and legal journals and publications. He has appeared as a panelist on The American Law Journal a number of times.
Actively involved with diversity and recruiting programs, Williams is a board member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group. He is a steering committee member of the diversity issues committee for DRI and the steering committee of diversity committee of the IADC. At DLA Piper, he is on the national diversity committee and Associate Evaluation and Compensation Committee.
Williams played football in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers a year prior to attending law school.
