Dennis McAndrews, founder of McAndrews Law Offices PC, has built a national reputation for his work in estate planning, estate administration and representation of persons with special needs. He also focuses his practice on representing families and individuals in special education matters, special needs trusts, guardianship, right-to-treatment and abuse cases.
McAndrews is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Elder Law Section Council. As Executive Director and Staff Counsel to select committees of the Pennsylvania State Senate, he assisted in evaluating Pennsylvania’s system for care for persons with disabilities and drafted proposed legislation designed to modernize Pennsylvania’s legal basis for the provision of care to the intellectually disabled. Previously he served 15 years as the Special Education Hearing Officer for Pennsylvania Department of Education and 17 years as a prosecutor in Philadelphia.
Of note, McAndrews was co-prosecutor for the notorious John duPont murder trial.
