Michael D. Homans, chair of Flaster Greenberg’s Litigation Department, practices civil rights, labor and employment law, concentrating on litigation of workplace disputes and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees. His clients include a wide range of companies, nonprofits, independent schools, and individuals throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He serves as lead counsel in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, family and medical leave, breach of contract, whistleblowing, non-compete agreements, and wage payment and overtime cases. He also drafts and reviews policies, contacts, employee handbooks and severance agreements.
Homans has published articles on employment law and presents on sexual harassment and other employment issues at seminars to institutional clients, businesses and legal organizations. Homans organizes and presents a yearly seminar for the Employment Law Institute, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, on discrimination litigation, wage and hour laws, and wrongful termination.
Homas was a journalist in Savannah, Georgia and Seattle, Washington before becoming a lawyer.
