What personal information is collected and how does ALJ use that information? 

We collect information about our users directly from the user (for example: when submitting profile information or signing up for a newsletter) from our web server logs and through cookies, tags, pixels, scripts, beacons and similar. We may also collect data including: IP address, type and version of browser and device, location, pages viewed and for how long, your inbound location, metadata/clicks/opens, videos watched, or other interaction with the site as part of the analytics we use to measure performance of the website.

Who has access to the personal information?

We will not sell, rent or lease mailing lists or other customer data to others, and we will not make your personal information available to any unaffiliated parties, except as follows:

We can only port this information where we have the technology to do so, otherwise, we will provide the information in a machine scannable or file format. Once the third party has the information, we are no longer responsible for the security of the information.

-correction: you have the right to require we correct your personal information you believe we have that is inaccurate and/or incomplete. When you request we correct (or delete/erase as detailed below) provide details why you believe the information is incorrect or incomplete for our assessment of whether a correction is required. While this process is underway, you have the right to notify us you restrict our use of your personal information.

-objection: you have the right to object to how we hold or use the information about you. Provide detail of why you are objecting so we can assess whether there is a "compelling and over riding interest" for us to you the information or we must retain in relation to legal action or investigation.

-restriction of processing information to only storage or archive: you have a right to require we cease to process your personal data we have other than for storage if:

-you believe the personal data is inaccurate for the time it takes for verification of accuracy;

-we wish to delete the data as processing is unlawful but you want us to restrict not delete your data;

-we no longer need the data but you require we keep for "exercise, establishment, or defense of legal claims;

- you have objected to us using your personal data and wish us to stop while we assess whether there is an "over riding interest" in our keeping the personal data. 

How do I request deletion or erasure of personal information we may have collected from you by use of this website or by submitting inquiry forms, content or other material

You can request we delete/erase information if:

-you have previously given consent and wish to withdraw consent;

-you no longer wish us to use your information to send you newsletters, marketing material for other communications;

-you believe it is not necessary for us to retain your personal information;

-you object to use of your information in our processing of data for marketing or website analytics;

-you believe we are processing your data unlawfully.

To request deletion or erasure, provide detail for your reasoning for your request to assist our determination for your basis for request of deletion/erasure.  

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw your consent for use to use your personal information at any time by notifying us, info@lawjournaltv.com.

Transfer in the event of corporate reorganization  

If we are acquired, merge, sell or otherwise transfer a portion or all of our assets, digital and otherwise, your personal data will be transferred as part of the transaction. This site will display a notice of this transfer and change, your continued use of this site indicates your acceptance of this.
